The Franklin Pierce Fine Arts Club will be traveling to the Rhode Island School of Design for a tour of displayed student work on April 9.

This will be the club’s first trip off campus, but they are hoping to make this a new tradition. “It’s a trip we are hoping to do at least once a semester after this year,” said junior Catey Beaudoin, the club’s vice president.

Members going will get a guided tour of the design and fine arts building so they can explore different students’ artwork. They hope this will help them with new ideas for activities to do in their own club.

“It will enhance our knowledge and appreciation for modern art,” said Chloe Pelletier, a freshman and club member. “This is a great opportunity for us and I know everyone in the club is looking forward to our visit.”

Club members will pay $10 for transportation to Rhode Island. The shuttle will depart from campus around 9 a.m. and will return roughly around 9 p.m.
