Franklin Pierce University is holding a Polar Plunge Sunday, April 2nd at 5 p.m. at Pearly Pond, with all proceeds  going to the Make a Wish Foundation.

“I think Make a Wish is a really important foundation to be part of and the fact that we try to have an activity to bring all the sports together to show support for the foundation is a really great thing that our athletic department does rather than just taking donations,”  said Danielle Crawford, a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

In the past FPU’s athletic director, Bruce Kirsh, has requested that all student athletes donate five dollars to the make a wish foundation. This is the first year that FPU is having the Polar Plunge so that the fundraising can be opened up to the rest of campus. Any students and faculty who donate five dollars can participate.

Assistant track coach Colton Ham said, “I think it’s for a good cause so I’m going to jump on in.”

Sign ups for everyone will be in the glass foyer on March 29th.
