Recent talks between Iran and the US government have caused US officials to  question if the Iranian nuclear deal is still beneficial for the US, according to The New York Times

After the deal collapsed President Donald Trump referred to it as “an embarrassment.” This criticism, however, is an isolated one; Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reassured those involved that Iran would not be the first to abandon the efforts of the deal.

Negotiations continued in later conferences, all of which  pertained to the future of the countries involved with the deal.

After the talks those involved were still unable to decide where Trump fell on the issue. Trump claims to have made a decision, but was unwilling to share it with the press.
