Egypt fights back against signs of LGBT support

According to the BBC a four-day crackdown in Egypt about rainbow flags has left 22 people in jail. Those carrying the rainbow flag have not been accused of homosexuality; however, they are accused on charges of “debauchery,” “immorality,” or “blasphemy.” Reports of forced anal examinations of some suspects. The parading of rainbow flags happened on September 22nd during a concert a “rare public show of support for the LGBT community in the conservative Muslim country,” the BBC reported.
