A cold and rainy day did not stop the Franklin Pierce Men’s Lacrosse team from competing in an inter-squad scrimmage.

In the ninth edition of the Crimson and Gray game, the Crimson team defeated the Gray team in a close 6-4 game.

Saturday morning was marked by intensity as the team and excitement of their first scrimmage of the year pushed the players to work harder. The team was split into two squads and went at each other in the first contest of their 2017 campaign.

“It’s really remarkable being able to make two teams out of one and having a scrimmage against each other in game conditions. It was exciting as both teams played well overall,” said Head Coach Rick Senatore.

The atmosphere between the two squads was electric from the first minute on the field, until the last steps off.

“The hype during warmups was really fun with all my teammates and then finally getting on the field and scoring on my first touch was really exciting,” said senior midfielder Aaron Lassow.

The game was close the whole time until a Crimson’s squad offensive serge late in the second half.
